In a landmark study led by Dr. Rasouli and recently published in the prestigious journal Spine, patients who underwent multilevel artificial disk replacements in the outpatient setting (same-day surgery) had essentially no complications postoperatively. The study is important because it signals a paradigm shift for surgeries that have traditionally been performed in large hospitals and at significant cost and inconvenience to patients. Now, with the work being done at RasouliSpine, patients can look forward to having their surgeries done in the morning and being home by noon. Pretty remarkable.
