Meet The Doctor
Dr. Alexandre Rasouli, M.D.
Alexandre Rasouli, M.D. is a nationally-recognized, board-certified spine surgeon who specializes in the surgical and nonsurgical management of cervical, thoracic and lumbar disorders of the spine, degenerative disorders, spinal trauma, adult and pediatric deformity, spinal oncology and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Rasouli gained prominence in the field of spinal disorders after his 2007 discovery of a novel method of regenerating neurons damaged by spinal cord injury using peripheral nerve transplantation. A Stanford honors graduate with extensive training in neurosurgical and orthopedic surgery techniques, he was also the first to describe the genetic response of spinal cord tissue to traumatic injury. His research focuses on developing a cure for paralysis.
He has authored over 50 manuscripts, abstracts, book chapters and presentations in neurological and orthopedic literature. He leads many clinical trials for advanced surgical techniques, including motion-preserving and minimally-invasive surgery. His practice attracts patients from around the world.
Dr. Ehsan Saadat, M.D.
Dr. Ehsan Saadat is a board certified, Harvard and Emory-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon with special expertise in minimally invasive, motion preserving and complex revision spine surgery. He joined RasouliSpine in May 2019.
Dr. Saadat studied biomedical engineering at UC Berkeley and earned his M.D. from UC San Francisco School of Medicine. He then completed his orthopaedic surgical training at Harvard where he received extensive training in complex spinal surgery and scoliosis. While at Harvard, Dr. Saadat served as the chief editor of the Orthopaedic Journal at Harvard Medical School and was honored as chief resident at Massachusetts General Hospital during his last year of training. Dr. Saadat then completed a spine surgery fellowship at the prestigious Emory Spine Center in 2016, focusing on minimally-invasive, motion-preserving and complex spine surgery.
Dr. Saadat is a published author of numerous research papers and book chapters covering a wide range of topics in orthopaedics and spine surgery, and is frequently invited to present his work at national and international conferences.
